term, decreasing the observed lifetime. Air and water contaminations
of 0.01 ppm lead to a correction of 0.3% of

on deuterium is insignificant. Tenfold higher contaminations are allowed if
they can be accurately (10% level) measured and if their effect can be
extrapolated to zero.
