Useful Software Tools
Software, not directly related to G0 simulation, data acquisition, slow
controls, or analysis, is available here.
- mcvert (version 2.16),
from Mentor Graphics, translates files between MacBinary format and other
formats often used in exchanging Macintosh files. It is provided
here as a Gnu-zipped tar archive. The included Makefile works on the
HP systems at Jlab and UIUC but may need modification for your Unix
installation. See the README files for more information.
- macutil (version 2.0b1),
A number of Unix utilities for dealing with Macintosh file formats.
Of particular use is macunpack which will unpack PackIt, StuffIt,
Diamond, Compactor/Compact Pro, most StuffItClassic/StuffItDeluxe,
and all Zoom and LHarc/MacLHa archives. Also it will decode files
created by BinHex5.0, MacBinary, UMCP, Compress It, ShrinkToFit,
MacCompress and DiskDoubler. It is provided
