11/27/03 Beam Studies

>

Day (8:00 - 16:00)

- 8am meeting. Beam will definitely be delivered to HallC tonight. The program involves an RHWP/IA scan, and a PZT scan with orthogonality/damping improvement.
- Happy Thanksgiving.

Swing (16:00 - 24:00)

- Hall A hot checkout. No beam to HallC.

- No beam. MCC

11/28/03 Owl (00:00 - 08:00)

- Called in at 23:30 or so. Beam was delivered to Hall by 01:00. We were unable to get 40uA. Beam was stable at ~37uA with approximately 70% transmission.
- RHWP scan was done. 25degree was found to be the approximate zero crossing.
- IA scan was done.
- PZT scans were done for:
1. MQS0I07 = 1.5, MQS0L01 = 2.0 2. Prebuncher off (14uA, 11% transmisssion) 3. Phasespace upright at 1i06. 4. MQS0I07 = 3.0, MQS0L01 = 4.0 5. SkewKnob settings (Changes MQS0L04, 0L05, and 0L06 by some percentage):
   a. -10%
   b. -20%
   c. 20%
   d. 10%
The point of changing these skew quads is to see if either the orthogonality or the adiabatic damping can be improved.
