Run Plan Friday 02-06-2004Run Plan - Wednesday 01-28-2004
RC summary Sunday/Monday/Tuesday 02-09-2004
(Sorry it's late and still in
a hurry)
- Data taking on empty target (IHWP status change on
Sunday)
- IHWP is IN since Sunday
afternoon
- Serious interference
from the
visit of French Directors.
- Hall access and machine down in the morning and of the
afternoon of Monday
- Minispin dance and path length variation performed on
Tuesday morning
- RIP scan, Harp scan on Tuesday after beam checks
- Analysis of FPD 2-12-FR finalized and action taken.
- About 20 hours of empty target data on tape (runs
19717-19777)
- Note an error
in my Run plan.
- Paddle current should be about 190 na for 20 uA
of
beam on gas target
- 10 nA for 20 uA for NO target
Work done in Hall
access on Monday morning
- Jukie and Klaus have connected batteries to
ground.
- Done. No effect
seen (see Ground)
- Junho and Sarah worked on Halo detectors 7 and 8.
- Jianglai worked on photodiode of Lumi 7.
- Seems this is fixed
sucessfully, see Lumi
and Lumi2
Other achievments during this
period:
1) Musson YO Box calibration/Verification
(Path length variation,
see YO)
2) Mini-Spin-Dance. See interesting results (new value for the
Wien angle)
in Spin-dance
3) Automated PZT/IA. Test of helicity magnet : see RIP
On
a more general basis
3) We will likely change the IHWP
state every two days
Make a RIP scan just after, and
eventually Moeller measurement
4) Moeller measurements every 2 days.
We need
people to attend the training provided by Dave and Tanja !!!
5) Energy measurements typically once ... for ever.
Could be done soon.
Discussion
with Mark Jones
6) BPM/BCM calibration typically every week. Next week.
7) Use no beam time for DNL calibration (NA and French). Also search
for
helicity correlated ground loop. This happen
usually often enough ...
Concerns
A) Beam
position
- Difficulties observed
to steer the beam and have the nominal position
- Might be due to some connecting on a kicker in the
machine
- To be checked in the coming runs
B) Halo rates
- Rates are now usually too large to use 6 mm hole target
C) FPD 2-12-FR
- Rate have been observed to be too large (see 2-12-FR)
- Amplitude checked with fastbus data is a factor 2 too
high
- Need to decrease the HV (2000 to 1922 V)
to fix this problem
