CP violation theory and phenomenology

I present an overview of the Standard Model CKM description of (hadronic) CP
violation and of the determination of CKM parameters from observables in the B
and K systems in the light of current experimental data, reviewing theoretical
methods and uncertainties relevant to extracting this information. Sources of CP
violation beyond the Standard Model and their impact on different observables
are briefly discussed.
